I attended Camden
County Senior Art Awards event at the JCC. Min Kaufman has won so many
competitions and now she added 2nd place in the mixed media category. Min recently attended Art
Camp at Fairmount Park; she participated in the Collage category and she won
first prize in the juried show. At 96, Min is an inspiration...I was happy to cheer her on
at the ceremony. CONGRATULATIONS Minnie Kaufman!

This past Friday we showed the movie "Julie & Julia" during the Senior Citizen Luncheon with the Arts at Croft Farm. The luncheon was a little different than usual, as we had a special guest - Marianne Wilkins, a Cherry Hill Arts Board member and retired home economics teacher, who did a live cooking demonstration before the movie. It was a lot of fun and there were samples of her Quinoa Pilaf for all in attendance.
The next Luncheon with the Arts at Croft Farm features the movie "First Wives Club." The luncheon will be held on Friday, April 11. Tickets cost $5 ($8 at the door) and are still available. For more information or to reserve your tickets, contact us at 856-488-7868 or email Arts@CHTownship.com.
Seniors 55 and older are invited to enjoy the screening of Julie & Julia on March 14 as part of the Luncheon with the Arts for Seniors series at Croft Farm (100 Bortons Mill Rd.).
The film contrasts the life of chef Julia Child (Meryl Streep) with the life of young New Yorker Julie Powell (Amy Adams), who aspires to cook all 524 recipes in Child’s cookbook in 365 days.
A sandwich and tossed salad lunch will be served before the movie and a live cooking demonstration will take place during lunch.
Tickets cost $5 ($8 on 3/14/14) and can be purchased at the Recreation Department (room 102, 820 Mercer Street) or by completing this form and mailing it to the Recreation Department.
